What is a domain name, really?

A domain name is your address online — the thing people type to find you, like adresko.com. Behind the scenes, computers use numbers (IP addresses), and the domain is the friendly label on top.

You don't buy a domain forever: you register it for 1 to 10 years and renew it. That's why we always show the renewal price right next to the first-year price.

Tip: pick something short, easy to spell out loud, and without hyphens if you can.
